Server Storage Drives
Server SSD and HDD drives for server platforms
Server storage is not just “bigger disks.” Different engineering, different endurance math, different failure logic. A desktop SSD is built for ~8 hours a day and a few writes. A server drive is built for 24/7, RAID stress, continuous writes, and predictable life expressed in DWPD.
If you are building an array, a database, a hypervisor, or simply swapping a drive in production — the server segment is where you belong. Buying the “right series” of server hard drives is an investment in stability, not wasted money.
Types of server drives
The Euro-Parts catalog covers the core form factors and interfaces. Quick tour:
- SATA SSD (2.5"). The workhorse. General-purpose disks for backups, file shares, lighter workloads. Up to ~550 MB/s.
- SAS SSD/HDD (2.5" / 3.5"). Enterprise interface with queuing, hot-swap trays, and dual ports. A natural fit for RAID and critical systems.
- NVMe SSD (M.2 / U.2). Top speed. Hundreds of thousands of IOPS, sub-millisecond latency. The path for databases, virtualization, VDI, and AI-style workloads. Buying server SSDs in NVMe form factor is a serious performance step.
- 3.5" enterprise HDD. Large capacity at sensible cost per TB. Archives, backups, CCTV, media libraries. 7200 RPM and up, higher MTBF, tuned for arrays.
How to choose a drive
Short, unromantic checklist.
- Capacity. Size the job with headroom. 2 TB is enough today — and tight six months later.
- Interface. Does your backplane support SAS? Do you have an NVMe slot? Bulk pricing for server hard drives depends heavily on interface.
- Workload class. Read Intensive (RI) — mostly reads. Mixed Use (MU) — balance. Write Intensive (WI) — journals, logs, DB indexes. Getting this wrong is expensive: WI where RI would do means overspend.
- DWPD. Full-drive writes per day over the warranty window. Read-heavy — ~1 DWPD; heavier write loads — 3–10 DWPD.
- Compatibility. HPE servers often want vendor-branded drives with tray and firmware. Dell — similar. Confirm before you order.
Why the Euro-Parts catalog
- Genuine drives. HPE, Dell, Seagate, WD, Samsung — no “refurbished sold as new.”
- Manufacturer warranty. With a path to official replacement, not six months of email ping-pong.
- Platform fit. Send the server model — we’ll match a compatible disk by part number.
- Real stock. “In stock” in the catalog means it’s actually on the shelf.
- Volume pricing. Enterprise HDD/SSD bulk pricing is quoted for integrators and large buyers.
Delivery and ordering
Delivery across Ukraine via Nova Poshta. Pickup in Kyiv. For large orders and integrators — courier to your door. Bank transfer, contract, closing documents — standard package for businesses.
Reviews
Each product has reviews from real buyers. Often fellow admins: server model, RAID level, how the disk behaves under load. Worth reading.
Order a drive
Know the part number — place the order. Not sure — send the server model and workload; we’ll spec a drive. You can buy a server hard drive today and rack it tomorrow.
