The ACS ACM1252U-Y3 is a USB NFC reader module for adding contactless card and tag access to embedded systems. Its detachable antenna board gives integrators flexibility when positioning the reading area in a kiosk, vending machine or another integrated system.

Operating at 13.56 MHz, the module supports card reader/writer, card emulation and peer-to-peer modes. It works with ISO 14443 Type A and B cards, MIFARE and FeliCa cards, as well as ISO 18092 NFC tags. The reading distance is up to 50 mm, depending on the tag type.

The module uses a USB 2.0 Full Speed interface and draws power from the USB port. It provides a compact front-end for contactless transactions in embedded equipment.
