ACS ACR1581U-C1 DualBoost III is a USB smart card reader for contact and contactless cards. Its dual-interface design brings both reading methods together in one device, making it useful for computer-based smart card applications.
It supports contact cards under ISO 7816 and contactless formats including ISO 14443 Type A and B, ISO 15693, MIFARE and FeliCa. The reader connects to a computer through USB Type-A using USB CCID, with a 2 m fixed cable and USB Full Speed data transfer at 12 Mbps.
A full-sized contact-card slot is complemented by a standard SIM-sized slot for SAM cards. This combination supports workflows that use a smart card alongside a security module.
