The Philips TAR2509/10 portable FM/AM radio is made for listening to broadcast stations at home or while moving between spaces. It receives both FM and AM, with analogue tuning for straightforward station selection.
Turn the side tuning wheel and use the large frequency window to see where the radio is tuned. An LED signal indicator lights when reception is strong. The set can run from AC power or batteries, so it can be used in different listening spots.
A 3.5-inch speaker plays programmes through the radio, and News and Music modes let you select a sound setting for speech or music. A large volume dial and top-mounted band and mode controls keep the main adjustments close at hand. For private listening, connect headphones to the headphone port.
