PLANET GS-4210-8UP2S is a managed Gigabit Ethernet switch for connecting and managing wired network devices while supplying power over Ethernet. It supports IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack management, so it can be administered in networks using either protocol.
Eight 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports provide Ethernet and IEEE 802.3bt PoE++; the two 100/1000BASE-X SFP slots provide options for fibre uplinks. Each PoE port supports up to 95 W, with a 180 W total PoE budget. Support for IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af also covers devices using those PoE standards.
PoE management includes powered-device status checks, scheduled power cycling, and schedules for power delivery. The manufacturer lists IP cameras, wireless access points, and IP phones as suitable connected devices. Package contents include the switch, console cable, rack-mounting package, rubber feet, power cord, and SFP dust caps.
