Broadcom BCM957416A4160C is a dual-port Ethernet network interface card designed to add high-speed wired networking to a compatible server. Broadcom lists it for data-center and cloud-computing applications.
It connects to the host over PCI Express 3.0 x8 and provides two 10GBASE-T ports. The ports also support 1000BASE-T, allowing the card to operate with those Ethernet link types. Its BCM57416 controller has an integrated dual-channel 10GBASE-T transceiver.
Server-focused functions include SR-IOV with up to 128 virtual functions, RoCE, and network boot support through PXE or UEFI. The card supports both standard-profile and low-profile brackets, giving system builders a choice of bracket format for installation.
