The Broadcom CVPM05 CacheVault power module (05-50039-00) helps protect a RAID controller’s write-back cache. If power fails, CacheVault transfers cached data to NAND flash, helping preserve pending writes until normal operation can resume.
The module is listed for MegaRAID 9460-16i, 9460-8i, 9480-8i8e, 9560-16i, 9560-8i, 9580-8i8e and 9365-28i controllers. It uses an FBU345 super-capacitor and the kit contents include a 620-mm cable.
