PLANET POE-172S is a single-port Ultra PoE splitter that separates Ethernet data and power for a network device. It is useful where the device needs a DC supply but the network connection arrives over PoE.
Two Gigabit RJ45 ports handle the connection: one accepts data and PoE, while the other provides Ethernet data. The data rate is 10/100/1000Mbps. A switch sets the DC output to 12V, 19V or 24V, so the splitter can serve equipment requiring one of these listed voltages. It supports IEEE 802.3bt and is backward compatible with 802.3at PoE+; the stated transmission distance is up to 100 meters.
The unit has a metal enclosure and can sit on a desktop or be wall mounted. PLANET lists applications including PTZ cameras, thin clients, all-in-one touch PCs and digital signage displays.
Package contents: a 15cm UTP straight network cable and two external female plug cables, 5.5/2.5mm to 5.5/2.5mm and 5.5/2.5mm to 5.5/2.1mm.
