NPORT 5232I

Moxa NPort 5232I is a two-port serial device server that connects RS-422/485 equipment to an Ethernet network. It provides a practical way to make serial devices accessible through a network connection.

The unit has two RS-422/485 serial ports with terminal-block connectors and a single 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet port with an RJ45 connector. Its serial interfaces use 2 kV optical isolation, separating the serial side electrically from other circuits.

The metal housing supports desktop or wall installation. DIN-rail mounting is also available with an optional kit. The device accepts 12–48 V DC through a removable three-contact terminal block and is specified for operation from 0 to 55 °C.
