ARCTIC MX-6 (ACTCP00081A) is an 8 g thermal paste for creating a thermal interface between a processor and its cooler. It is supplied in a compact amount suited to applying paste during PC cooling maintenance or assembly.
The paste has a high-viscosity consistency. ARCTIC advises using the cooler’s contact pressure to distribute it, rather than spreading it with a spatula. The manufacturer also describes MX-6 as neither electrically conductive nor capacitive, a useful characteristic for thermal compound applied around electronic components.
