10GBASE-T to 10GBASE-X SFP+

Planet XT-715A is a media converter for linking copper Ethernet to a fiber network. It converts between 10GBASE-T and 10GBASE-X through an RJ45 port and an SFP+ slot.

The RJ45 port supports auto-negotiated 2.5G, 5G and 10GBASE-T. The SFP+ slot accepts a transceiver for multimode or single-mode fiber, letting the connection use the fiber type supported by that module.

For network traffic, the XT-715A supports jumbo frames up to 16K and non-blocking full wire-speed forwarding. It can operate on its own or be installed as a slide-in module in Planet MC-700 or MC-1500 media converter chassis.

The metal-cased converter measures 93.5 × 70 × 26 mm and uses external 5 V DC, 2 A power input.
