The OMNIKEY 5427 CK (R54270201) is a smart card reader for reading credentials at a computer. Its USB 2.0 connection links the reader to the host, and the removable card retainer provides a place to hold a card during use.

The reader supports native CCID and keyboard emulation modes, giving applications two ways to receive reader input. Dual-frequency support covers 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz credentials, allowing it to work across both frequency ranges.
