TP-Link MC210CS is a Gigabit media converter that connects a 1000BASE-LX fiber link to a 1000BASE-T copper network, converting in either direction. It lets fiber and copper Ethernet segments communicate through one device.

For single-mode fiber, the SC/UPC interface operates at 1310 nm and supports links up to 15 km. The copper side has a 10/100/1000M RJ45 port with Auto-MDI/MDIX and supports Category 5 or 5e UTP cable up to 100 m.

An external adapter powers the converter; maximum power consumption is 1.8 W. This setup can extend a network connection over single-mode fiber while linking copper Ethernet equipment.
