10/100TX - 100Base-FX (SC)

Planet FT-802S15 is a Fast Ethernet media converter that connects 10/100BASE-TX copper Ethernet to 100BASE-FX fiber. It supports full- and half-duplex operation, allowing copper and fiber links to work together across a network.

For fiber, this exact model uses single-mode cable with an SC connector. Its 1310 nm optical interface is specified for distances up to 15 km, making it suitable for extending a Fast Ethernet link over a longer fiber route. The copper side uses an RJ-45 connection, supports auto-negotiation and is listed for cabling up to 100 m.

The metal-housed converter requires 5 V DC at 2 A. Its listed AC adapter input is 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz. LLCF and LLR link-fault functions help indicate a fault affecting the link between the two media.
