StarTech.com PEX1P2 is a one-port parallel PCIe card that adds a DB25 LPT connection to a computer. It is designed for systems that need to connect parallel devices such as printers, scanners or plotters.

The card fits a PCI Express x1 slot and supports PCI Express 2.0, with backward compatibility to PCIe 1.1. Its parallel interface supports SPP, Byte, Nibble and ECP modes, is compatible with IEEE 1284 and handles speeds up to 2.5 Mbps.

An ASIX AX99100 chip manages the connection. The card can also serve parallel equipment such as point-of-sale terminals, PLCs, scientific sensors, medical equipment and oscilloscopes. Full-profile and low-profile mounting brackets are included, with the full-profile bracket fitted before installation.
