The ASUS ZenScreen MB229CF is a portable monitor (MPN 90LM08S5-B01A70) that adds a second screen to a laptop or another compatible device. Its frameless IPS panel offers a 21.5-inch visible diagonal, 1920 × 1080 resolution and a refresh rate up to 100 Hz.
At 4.9 mm thick and 2.2 kg, it is easy to move between work areas. The integrated handle doubles as a kickstand, with viewing angles from 12 to 60 degrees. A C-clamp with Z-axis adjustment and a partition-hook kit provide other placement options; the hook adjusts by 150 mm.
Connections include full-function USB-C with power delivery up to 60 W, HDMI and a headphone jack. USB-C carries audio and video; video over this connection requires DisplayPort Alt Mode on the connected device. A USB-C cable is included.
The 2.1-channel audio system with subwoofer supports video, music and presentations. Portrait orientation and the different stand and mounting options help adapt the monitor to a desk or shared workspace.
