The WD Purple Pro WD142PURP is a 14TB hard drive for smart video recording and analytics. Its capacity provides space for large volumes of surveillance footage and related data in suitable recording systems.

The drive uses a 3.5-inch form factor, SATA interface and CMR recording. It has 512MB of cache and a maximum buffer-to-host transfer rate of 6 Gb/s. AllFrame AI guides video, picture and metadata streams to disk and helps reduce dropped frames during recording.

WD Purple Pro is designed for smart video environments such as AI-enabled recorders, video storage servers and video management systems. WDDA can monitor drive health and recommend actions, provided it is used with a compatible recorder or system.
