WD Purple 3TB 24x7

Western Digital WD Purple WD30PURZ is a 3TB surveillance hard drive for storing video in security systems. Its 3.5-inch form factor and SATA connection suit systems designed for this drive format and interface.

The drive uses a SATA 6 Gb/s interface and belongs to the 5400 RPM performance class. Western Digital positions WD Purple for always-on 24/7 security systems, and lists support for up to 64 cameras per drive.

AllFrame 4K technology helps reduce frame loss and improve video playback, supporting the drive’s surveillance role.
