The ASUS VT229H is a 21.5-inch touchscreen LCD monitor for computer work that benefits from direct touch input. Its 16:9 IPS display with WLED backlighting has Full HD 1920 × 1080 resolution for applications, documents and media.
Brightness reaches 250 cd/m² and contrast is up to 1000:1. The 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles let the screen be viewed from different positions, while the 5 ms GTG response time describes how quickly pixels change.
The capacitive touchscreen supports up to 10 simultaneous touches and has an anti-glare surface with 7H hardness. USB 2.0 carries the touch signal; HDMI and D-Sub connect image sources. An audio input and two built-in 1.5 W stereo speakers are also provided.
The stand tilts from +20° to −5°, and 100 × 100 mm VESA mounting is supported. This allows the screen angle to be adjusted on a desk or the monitor to be mounted on a compatible bracket.
