Usb-A To Serial Converter

Manhattan 151849 USB-A to Serial Converter connects a serial peripheral to a computer through USB, adding an RS232/COM connection for equipment that uses a DB9 port.

The adapter has a USB Type-A male connector at one end and a 9-pin male DB9 connector at the other. Its Prolific PL-2303 chipset supports serial communication at up to 115 kbps. The 1.8 m (6 ft.) cable gives some reach between the computer and connected device.

It can be used with serial equipment such as modems, barcode scanners, digital cameras, GPS devices, CNC machines, telescopes and network switches. This provides a USB connection path for peripherals that communicate over serial rather than USB.
