Lindy 42680 50m USB 2.0 Cat.6 Extender extends the connection between a computer and a USB peripheral over network cabling, for installations where the device needs to be placed farther from the host. The transmitter and receiver link over Cat.5e/6 or higher cable, extending USB connectivity by up to 50 m. The network cable is not included.

It supports USB 2.0 at up to 480 Mbps and USB 1.1 Full Speed and Low Speed, so it can serve peripherals that use either standard. Power Over Cable means a single power supply connects to the transmitter, reducing the number of power connections needed at the receiver end. The units have metal housings. The transmitter provides a USB Type B female input, while the receiver provides one USB Type A female output.
