The LogiLink UA0054A connects a computer’s USB port to a parallel printer with a DB25 connection. It converts the parallel printer signal for USB, providing a way to use the printer through a USB connection.
The adapter follows USB 1.1 and has a USB-A plug at one end and a D-Sub 25-pin socket at the other. Its 1.8 m cable gives some flexibility in placing the connected printer. The datasheet says it supports USB bus power, so it does not need an external power supply.
The manufacturer lists plug-and-play and hot-plug operation under Windows, with support for Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, Vista and 7. The stated package contents are one USB-to-parallel cable.
