ASUS ThunderboltEX 4 is an add-in card that adds Thunderbolt connectivity between a desktop PC and Thunderbolt-enabled devices. Its two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports support data transfer at up to 40 Gbps for Thunderbolt devices, making it suitable for connecting compatible high-speed peripherals.
Two Mini DisplayPort inputs support DisplayPort 1.4 and route graphics from a motherboard or graphics card through the Thunderbolt connection. The card uses a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. One USB-C port supports up to 100 W quick charging, while the second supports up to 27 W.
ASUS lists compatibility with its Intel 500-series and later models that have a 14-1 pin Thunderbolt header. The package includes two Mini DisplayPort cables, a USB 2.0 cable, a Thunderbolt header cable, a user manual and a support DVD with driver.
