StorageWorks D2700 Disk Encl.

HP StorageWorks D2700 Disk Enclosure (AJ941A) is an external enclosure for expanding server storage. It connects directly to supported HP server storage controllers, giving installed drives a shared enclosure and SAS host connection.

The D2700 accommodates up to 25 small form factor drives and supports SAS and SATA drive options. Its host connectivity is 6 Gb/s SAS. HP lists the Smart Array P411, P212 and P812 controllers for direct attachment, making the enclosure suitable for adding disk capacity to supported server storage configurations.

The enclosure uses a 2U rack form factor and measures 8.8 × 45.0 × 56.7 cm. HP describes configurations that connect up to two D2700 enclosures to one controller port, allowing storage capacity to be expanded across multiple enclosures.
