SPS-BATT 96W MEGACELL 260MM-B

HPE 878644-001-RFB is a refurbished Smart Storage Battery kit for server backup. Its 96 W rating and 260 mm cable identify this Megacell version; the cable length distinguishes it from shorter-cable variants.

The lithium-ion battery is described for Smart Array Gen10 and Gen9 performance RAID P-class controllers. In a server power loss, it supports NVDIMMs by allowing data in DRAM to move to non-volatile NAND flash. This gives the storage system a backup path for data in flight.

The listing identifies the item as refurbished. HPE’s battery documentation also names the matching base part, 878644-001, as a 96 W Megacell battery with a 260 mm cable.
