SPS-BASE ENCLOSURE ASL

HP L49982-001 Base Enclosure ASL is the Asteroid silver bottom cover for HP 250 G7 notebooks configured with an optical drive. It closes the underside of the notebook and provides a replaceable exterior housing component.

This part number identifies the silver finish; the service guide lists a separate dark ash silver cover for the optical-drive configuration. The guide also distinguishes covers for systems without an optical drive, so this specific variant is intended for the configuration described above.

The service procedure shows the cover secured by 10 Phillips M2.5 × 9.0 screws. It is removed by lifting it after the screws are taken out, and reinstalled by reversing the procedure.
