Smart Card Reader Module

The ACS ACM39U-Y3 Smart Card Reader Module brings contact smart card reading into embedded system designs. It is intended for integration where cards are used for access control, network security, banking or payment applications.

The module supports ISO 7816 Class A, B and C cards, as well as memory cards and microprocessor cards using T=0 or T=1 protocols. Its USB Full Speed interface works with PC/SC and CCID, and the specified smart card read/write speed is 600 Kbps.

A single full-size card slot is rated for at least 200,000 card insertion cycles. For system integration, the module provides one 5-pin header connector and two 3-pin header connectors.
