Smart Array P840 PCIe 3x8 SAS

The HPE Smart Array P840, 761880-001-RFB, is a refurbished SAS/SATA controller for server storage. Its PCIe plug-in form factor lets it connect through a server’s expansion interface, while its storage controller functions support RAID configurations.

It has two mini-SAS connectors, a listed interface speed of 12Gb/s, and 4GB of cache. Supported RAID levels include 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, 1ADM and 10ADM, giving server administrators several listed array configuration options.

The distributor lists compatibility with ProLiant DL80 G9, DL180 G9, DL360 G9, DL380 G9, DL560 G9, ML110 G9, ML150 G9 and ML350 G9 systems.
