SMART ARRAY P440 12GB Single

HP Smart Array P440, part 726823-001, is a controller for managing internal server storage. This listed variant has 4GB Flash-Backed Write Cache and one internal SAS port.

The low-profile card uses a PCIe Gen3 x8 link. Its internal port provides eight physical links for SAS or SATA storage, with support for 12Gb/s SAS and 6Gb/s SATA drives. HPE documents support for combining SAS and SATA drives on the same controller.

The P440 supports RAID and HBA modes, with RAID levels including 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and 10 ADM. This combination makes it suitable for configuring and managing server drive arrays.
