Smart 400W 80+ ATX 12V

The Chieftec GPS-400A8 is a 400 W ATX power supply from the SMART retail series, designed to power a desktop PC. Its specified AC input is 230 V / 4 A at 47–63 Hz.

Its cables are fixed rather than modular. The cable set has a 20+4-pin motherboard connector, three SATA connectors, two Molex connectors and one floppy connector. It also provides a 4-pin 12 V lead for the processor and one PCIe 6+2-pin lead for a graphics card.

Chieftec describes the series as using a Double Forward design with +3.3 V magnetic amplification, a single +12 V rail and a 12 cm ball-bearing fan. Stated efficiency is 85% at 230 V, equivalent to 80 PLUS Bronze. The ATX format and listed connectors are intended for desktop systems with matching power interfaces.
