Seagate SkyHawk AI ST12000VE003 is a 12TB hard drive designed for video storage in network video recorder systems, including AI-enabled NVRs. Its large capacity supports substantial recording archives in surveillance setups.

The drive uses a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, CMR recording and a helium-filled design. Seagate lists a 512MB cache and a maximum transfer rate of 285/272 MB/s for this model.

For video analytics systems, it supports 32 AI channels and up to 64 HD cameras. Seagate also specifies up to 120 real-time capture events and 96 compare events per second. The drive is designed for always-on workloads rated at 550 TB/year, making its intended role continuous video recording and analytics storage.
