The HP 689576-001 LSI 9212-4i is a refurbished PCIe SAS RAID controller for connecting storage drives in a workstation. It provides a dedicated controller for managing compatible drive configurations.
Its SAS interface has a 6 GB/s data rate. HP’s workstation guide shows four drive connections for this controller and lists it as an optional component for the HP Z420 and Z620.
The LSI 9212-4i supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10 and RAID 1E, offering several ways to organize connected drives according to a supported workstation setup.
