Procurve Gigabit miniGBIC

HP ProCurve Gigabit-SX-LC Mini-GBIC J4858A is a fiber-optic transceiver for adding a Gigabit Ethernet link to supported ProCurve equipment. It provides one 1000Base-SX port for multimode fiber connections.

The module has a full-duplex LC connector and is specified for multimode fiber with 62.5/125 µm or 50/125 µm core/cladding dimensions. Maximum link distance varies with fiber type and bandwidth: the listed conditions support 220 m, 275 m, 500 m or 550 m.

It measures 5.79 × 1.30 × 1.30 cm and weighs 0.02 kg. The compatibility list includes HP ProCurve Switch 2848 (J4904A), Switch 2824 (J4903A), Switch 6108 (J4902A), Switch 2650 (J4899A) and Switch 2626 (J4900A).
