The MicroConnect MC-PCIE-X4M2 is a PCIe expansion card for connecting M.2 SSDs to a computer or server. Its two M.2 slots support NVMe drives over PCIe and M.2 SATA drives connected to the motherboard with a SATA cable.

The card follows PCIe 3.0 and SATA 3.0 standards. It accepts M, B and B+M key drives in lengths 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110. For an M.2 SATA drive with a B key, the manufacturer specifies a SATA cable connection; the card receives power through PCIe without an external power supply.

The manufacturer lists backward compatibility with PCIe 2.0 and 1.0 motherboards, and support for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 R2. The black card weighs 50 g. Package contents: one adapter, mounting brackets and a manual.
