HPE P18428-B21 is a 3.84TB SATA 6G solid-state drive for read-intensive storage in compatible HPE servers. It suits server workloads that need quick access to frequently read data, including operating-system storage, read-focused databases and virtual-machine data.

Its SFF form factor, SC carrier and hot-plug connection let it fit supported HPE drive bays designed for that carrier, subject to the server configuration. HPE lists the drive for selected Gen10 and Gen10 Plus platforms; check compatibility with the particular configuration.

The drive uses TLC flash and digitally signed firmware. HPE supplies it as a multi-vendor option, so the SSD manufacturer may vary while the HPE option number and qualification criteria remain the same.
