Null modem cable 9-pin

The Lindy 31578 is a 5 m, 9-pin null modem cable for connecting one PC directly to another. Its 9-pin Sub-D female connectors at both ends fit equipment with matching serial ports.

The crossover wiring connects pin 2 to 3, pin 3 to 2, pin 5 to 5, and pins 1/6/8 to pin 7 at the other end. This layout supports a direct serial link between PCs without an intervening modem. The connector hoods are moulded plastic.
