The GIGABYTE Z790 EAGLE (Rev. 1.0) is an ATX motherboard for desktop PC builds, with an Intel Z790 Express chipset and an LGA1700 socket. It supports 12th, 13th and 14th Generation Intel Core processors, plus Pentium Gold and Celeron models.
Four DDR5 DIMM sockets support up to 256 GB of memory. Supported data rates depend on the processor and memory configuration. Expansion options include a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot operating at x4, a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot operating at x1, and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for add-in cards.
For storage, the board provides three M.2 sockets and four SATA 6 Gb/s connectors, giving compatible drives several connection options. A Realtek 2.5GbE chip provides wired networking. Rear HDMI and DisplayPort connections can be used for displays when the processor provides suitable graphics.
