LTO Tape Cleaning Cartridge

Dell UN379 LTO Ultrium cleaning cartridge is a maintenance consumable for cleaning tape-drive heads. Its special cleaning tape helps remove contamination from the head mechanism as part of routine drive care.

For Dell PowerVault LTO drives covered by the guide, use an LTO Ultrium universal cleaning cartridge when the drive signals that cleaning is needed. The drive runs the cleaning cycle automatically and ejects the cartridge when it is complete.

A universal cleaning cartridge is generally rated for 50 separate cleaning operations; replace it when that allowance is exhausted.
