PLANET MGS-6311-8P2X is a managed Layer 3 multigigabit Ethernet switch for connecting high-bandwidth devices and linking network segments. It suits offices and other networks built around compatible access points, NAS devices and workstations.
Eight copper ports support 10/100/1000/2500BASE-T and 802.3at PoE+. The shared PoE budget reaches 150 watts, allowing the switch to carry data and power to supported devices such as access points and IP cameras over Ethernet.
Two SFP+ fiber slots support 1G and 10G connections for uplinks to a backbone or other network equipment. Layer 3 functions include static routing, RIPv1/v2 and OSPFv2, with routing between VLANs. VLAN configuration, link aggregation, traffic control and access control lists provide tools for organizing and managing connected devices.
