The PLANET WDAP-3000AX is a dual-band outdoor wireless access point for extending Wi-Fi coverage across exterior areas. It uses Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) and can serve devices over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands at the same time.
Its stated 802.11ax rates reach 600 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2400 Mbps on 5 GHz, with a combined headline rate of up to 3000 Mbps. Four N-type antenna connectors let an installer connect external antennas for the intended outdoor network layout.
The IP67-rated aluminum enclosure is designed for outdoor deployment. A 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet port accepts IEEE 802.3at PoE+, which can supply power over the network cable where that setup is used. Operating modes include access point, gateway, repeater, WISP and Mesh, giving network administrators options for extending or organizing wireless coverage.
