Interface Cards/Adapter

Chieftec ADP-CT3 is an internal adapter for connecting a front-panel lead or external device with a USB 3.1 Gen2 20-pin Key-A connector to a motherboard with a standard USB 3.1 Gen1 header but no matching Key-A connector. It lets these connector formats work together inside a PC.

One end has an internal 20-pin USB 3.1 Gen2 Key-A female socket; the other has a 19-pin USB 3.1 Gen1 male plug. This adapts the internal connection to the available standard Gen1 motherboard header.

Use it with a compatible front-panel lead or external device when the motherboard has the Gen1 header but lacks the corresponding Key-A connection. The adapter bridges these internal formats; it is not a separate interface card.
