The HPE 822784-001 is a 400GB hot-plug solid-state drive for server storage, using a SAS interface and Mixed Use-3 classification for workloads with both read and write activity.

Its 12Gb/sec transfer rate is intended for compatible server storage infrastructure. The 2.5-inch small form factor (SFF) fits server bays designed for SFF drives, and the HPE Smart Carrier supports installation in compatible hot-plug drive assemblies.

Power-loss protection (PLP) helps preserve in-flight data during an unexpected power loss. The drive is specified for HPE servers from Gen8 and later and for compatible storage configurations requiring a hot-plug SAS Mixed Use drive in Smart Carrier format.
