HPE SSD 1.92TB SFF SAS MU MV BC VS

The HPE P40511-B21 is a 1.92TB SAS SSD for server storage. Part of HPE’s Mixed Use Value SAS Multi Vendor range, it is designed for workloads combining data reads and writes.

Its SFF form factor and SAS interface suit compatible server storage configurations. The drive comes in a Basic Carrier and supports hot-plug installation, allowing replacement without shutting down a compatible system.

Specified endurance is 3 DWPD, with lifetime writes of 10,500. The data sheet lists random reads at 96,000 IOPS at 4KiB Q=16 and up to 155,000 IOPS at 4KiB Q32. Random writes are 52,000 IOPS at 4KiB Q=16 and up to 52,000 IOPS at 4KiB Q4.

At 15mm high, the drive is supported on HPE Compute Mainstream Platforms. HPE identifies this SSD class for big data analytics, cloud computing, high performance computing, database applications and virtualization.
