HPE Drive MSA 800GB 6G SAS SSD 2.5 SFF

The HPE MSA 800GB 6G ME SAS SSD is a 2.5-inch SFF enterprise mainstream drive for compatible HPE storage systems. Its spare part number is 717878-001, with HPE option number C8R21A.

It provides 800GB of storage over a 6G SAS interface. The compact 2.5-inch SFF format suits dense server and storage enclosure configurations.

HPE lists C8R21A for a D2700 expansion behind an MSA 2040 array, and the part is also identified for HPE MSA storage systems generally. Check that the array and configuration support this drive.

In the documented D2700 setup, SAS SSDs use two paths and support two domains, a configuration for enterprise storage deployments using SAS and MSA array architecture.
