HPE P18420-B21-RFB is a 240GB Read Intensive solid-state drive for servers and workstations. Its 2.5-inch SFF form factor and Serial ATA interface with a 6 Gbit/s transfer rate suit compatible systems.

The drive uses MLC memory and supports hot-plug operation, so it can be exchanged while the system is running. Read Intensive describes workloads where data is read more often than it is rewritten; the documented endurance rating is 0.8 DWPD.

For random 4KB operations, performance is specified at 44,000 IOPS for reading and 14,000 IOPS for writing. HPE lists boot or swap workloads, web servers and read caching, as well as big data analytics, cloud computing, active archiving, database applications and data warehousing.
