Apricorn Aegis Fortress A25-3PL256-2000F is a portable external hard drive for storing and carrying up to 2 TB of data. Its USB 3.0 connection makes it suitable for use as an everyday external storage device.
Access is controlled using the onboard keypad and a PIN. The drive applies 256-bit AES-XTS hardware encryption as data is written, with encryption handled by the device rather than computer software. This keeps the security function integrated into the drive.
Apricorn lists the Fortress as compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac and Android. It offers a practical way to carry files between supported systems while keeping them on an encrypted, PIN-access drive.
