HPE 670943-001 hard drive cage is an 8-bay Small Form Factor (SFF) assembly for adding drive bays to a compatible server front panel. It is listed for the ProLiant DL380p Gen8.
The cage includes a hard drive connector backplane board, bringing the drive connection point into the cage assembly. It mounts in an 8-bay SFF front panel cage.
HPE notes that two cages can be used when no optical drive is needed.
