GripStick Headphone

The iFixit GripStick Headphone Plug Extraction Tool (IF145-333-1) is made to remove a broken 3.5 mm headphone plug from its jack. It is a focused repair tool for a plug fragment that has snapped off inside the socket.

The cylindrical tool slides between the jack housing and the broken plug. This arrangement avoids rubbing the plug fragment against the inside of the jack while positioning the tool to grip it. A lengthwise split lets the cylinder adapt to manufacturing differences and act like a small pair of cylindrical tweezers.

Designed for repair professionals, the GripStick can be used for multiple repairs when handled carefully. Its purpose is straightforward: help extract a broken headphone plug during device repair.
