Environmental Monitoring

Eaton EMPDT1H1C2 Environmental Monitoring Probe Gen 2 adds temperature and humidity monitoring to rack enclosures. It collects readings on site and makes environmental data available remotely through Eaton power-monitoring solutions or a standard web browser.

The probe reports one temperature, one humidity and two dry-contact status data points. Its wired connection uses dry contacts, and Eaton lists the device for use with UPSs and PDUs. A translucent case and integrated LED make sensor status visible when checking equipment in the rack.

Eaton specifies operation from 0–70 °C and at 10–90% humidity. Package contents: RJ45 connector (F/F), installation manual, USB-to-RS-485 converter, mounting hardware, dry-contact terminal block, two cable ties and a nylon fastener.
