The Canon DR-E18 DC coupler (part number 0250C001) powers compatible Canon EOS cameras from a mains connection. It replaces the camera battery for extended shoots, so the camera can keep running without relying on battery charge.
It fits inside the camera’s battery compartment and connects to the Canon AC-E6N mains adapter, sold separately. The DR-E18 is the camera-side power link, not a complete mains adapter kit.
Canon lists compatibility with EOS RP, EOS 850D, EOS 77D, EOS 800D, EOS 750D, EOS 760D, EOS 200D, EOS R10, EOS R8 and EOS R100. It is intended for supported cameras with the corresponding battery compartment.
External power suits long sessions such as time-lapse photography, interviews and scientific applications. It can also be useful for indoor, studio or tabletop shooting when the camera stays in one position for an extended period.
